Greenwich has been the scene of all sorts of "odd" accidents. You'll hear about a few of those on today's show.

In 1914, residents were offered the opportunity to fly over Greenwich and Long Island Sound from Island Beach.

In 1923, the new 'Pickwick Roof' opened atop the Pickwick Arms Hotel. It was the scene of a gala attended by members of Greenwich society.

Abel W. J. Bahr was an English art collector and Greenwich resident. A century ago, in 1924, he was denied American citizenship by the United States Court in New York City. Why? Was it the Chinese Exclusion Act?

"Belle Haven is Awake," proclaimed the Greenwich Graphic in April, 1905. "The early season has had is effect on Belle Haven, and that beautiful summer resort is being prepared for a prosperous and busy season."
