Those steps were not carved during the days of the American Revolution This is one of the most frequent questions I am asked. You'll hear when those stone steps came into being.
Morton House in Greenwich was the scene of a patriotic ball attended by Greenwich's families. You'll hear a contemporary description of what happened.
Needless to say. the Isaac Lewis Mead building and its possible demise has been in the news lately. Greenwich Time's reporter, Rob Marchant, wrote a brilliant piece describing this iconic, historical building at 2 Greenwich Avenue.
I consider Missy Wolfe, through her book The Hidden History of Greenwich, to be Greenwich's top authority of the town's 17th century history. She provides a compelling explanation for the origin of the name "Cos Cob."
