On Greenwich in the Gilded Age, we'll journey back in time and visit Arncliff Cottage, made possible by Victorian Summer: The Historic Houses of Belle Haven Park, Greenwich, Connecticut by Matt Bernard.  





Greenwich has been the scene of all sorts of "odd" accidents. You'll hear about a few of those on today's show.




In 1914, residents were offered the opportunity to fly over Greenwich and Long Island Sound from Island Beach.





In 1923, the new 'Pickwick Roof' opened atop the Pickwick Arms Hotel. It was the scene of a gala attended by members of Greenwich society.

Abel W. J. Bahr was an English art collector and Greenwich resident. A century ago, in 1924, he was denied American citizenship by the United States Court in New York City. Why? Was it the Chinese Exclusion Act?
