On Greenwich in the Gilded Age, you'll hear the second of  three installments of the introduction to Victorian Summer: The Historic Houses of Belle Haven Park, Greenwich, Connecticut by Matt Bernard.  


What happened in 1857? 


In 1880 the Democrats held a rally in Ray's Hall in Central Greenwich. 


In 1923, Lucien B. Edwards wrote about past elections in his column, Greenwich Life As It Is-And Was


In the 19th century, a number of Greenwich-born Protestant Christians embarked to the Hawaiian Islands as missionaries. You'll hear about one of them: Charlotte Close Knapp.
