What happened in 1940?

On August 20, 2024 a 200th anniversary celebration of the 1824 visit by the Marquis de Lafayette was held in Greenwich.

A special educational meeting open to the public was held at the Little Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Commodore E.C. Benedict's "injured" telescope made the news in Greenwich.

The people of Byram Shore were on the lookout for a lobster thief.

We'll have all this -and more- as our history continues to unfold.

The Greenwich Historical Society is hosting a series of exhibitions and public events -and you're invited!
